Venue Confirmed for the IBISG Global Consensus Meeting – July 2026
The Mackay Clinic is delighted to share that the Internal Brace International Study Group (IBISG) Global Consensus Meeting 2026 will be held at one of Glasgow’s most distinguished locations – the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
This historic College, founded in 1599, provides a remarkable setting for what promises to be a landmark meeting in the advancement of Internal Brace surgery. Alongside its rich heritage, the venue offers world-class conference facilities – ideally suited to high-level discussion, collaboration, and scientific progress.
As Founder and President of the IBISG, Professor Gordon Mackay, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, will welcome more than 40 leading surgeons, researchers, and rehabilitation specialists from around the world. Their collective aim is to develop a rigorous, evidence-based consensus on Internal Brace techniques across indications, rehabilitation pathways and surgical applications.

The conclusions reached during this meeting will form the basis of a peer-reviewed publication and will guide global best practice in ligament repair and reconstruction. The July event represents a major milestone for both the IBISG and the wider international sports surgery community.
