I was delighted to be invited by Jurgen Barthofer and Andreas Schneiderbauer to this prestigious event. Despite the specialized area of interest the course was well attended.
It was based at the modern Trauma Hospital in Linz.
An excellent Faculty shared their experiences. Professor Benedetto shared his technique for PCL inlay and his results over the last 15 years.

Above: As always I enjoyed meeting some of the local doctors, such as here with Dr Anton Wicker who has a major role in the provision of Austrian mountain rescue support. He explained that he had climbed Ben Nevis – modest by comparison.
Above: One of the doctors Tom Mesic, captured the day and explained that he is now a part-time professional photographer. Seen here with Adrian and below a sample of his new craft – capturing Jurgen at work
Below: Jackie and I were very well looked after by our hosts in Linz, Austria. A fantastic meal at Verdi’s over looking the city on arrival was quite exceptional. The wine decanter adding a level of sophistication to match the quality of the food
Below: A relaxed walk to the Castle terrace in the sunshine following the conclusion of the meeting was perfect. A relaxed evening followed with a chance to sample some local refreshments.
