Mackay Clinic Coronavirus (Covid-19) statement

We know that this is a very anxious time for everyone and we want to reassure our clients and patients that we are doing our utmost to protect both you and our own team from Corona. If you injure yourself and want to come and see us about treatment you can be confident that we are trying to do this in a way that reduces risks, with our clinical infection control policies.

To that end, we are following the latest guidelines as set by the Government.

Clinic consultations with Professor Mackay and operations are still going ahead as normal at the moment but we are asking that if you feel unwell, have any of the symptoms of Corona or have been in contact with anyone known to have the virus that you get in touch to rearrange your appointment. We also ask that if you have recently returned from a high-risk country that you make us aware of this fact prior to your appointment.

In addition to our normal, incredibly high standards of clinical hygiene which include handwashing for infection control between every patient, we are of course instigating any and all other available measures for your own and our staff safety.

If you do have an appointment handgel sanitizer will be provided for your use as you enter and leave the clinic your appointment is at. All touchable surfaces handled by patients/clients are thoroughly cleansed in between each visitor.

Operations at Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow and King’s Park in Stirling both run by BMI Healthcare are currently going ahead as normal and both hospitals are following their own strict Corona protocols including the limiting of visitors to patients – for more see link below.
