JEFFREY R. DUGAS, M.D.

Jeffrey R. Dugas, M.D. specializes in the treatment of injuries of the shoulder, elbow and knee. Recently, his research efforts include his pioneering work on the use of Internal Brace technology for the treatment of UCL injuries in overhead athletes.
Following his orthopedic training, Dr. Dugas completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, under the direction of James R. Andrews, M.D., and William G. Clancy, Jr., M.D, where he became a founding member of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, and has served as Fellowship Director at ASMI since 2011.
Dr. Dugas serves as medical director for WWE and head team physician for Troy University. Dr. Dugas also provides sports medicine assistance for the Birmingham Barons, the AA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, USA Cheer, and the Alabama Ballet.
Dr. Dugas and his wife Tracie have two adult children, Christopher and Caroline. They all enjoy traveling and spending time together.
