InternalBrace sports knee updates in Bahrain

Professor Mackay enjoyed being part of the recent SICOT Sports Knee Meeting which took part in Bahrain. The meeting attracted a global orthopaedic presence and presentations and discussions included topics such as fighting early arthritis to meniscal, cartilage and ACL and PCL pathologies.

Professor Mackay presented two papers during the meeting, one covering ACL reconstruction and the InternalBrace and the second taking the audience on the 10yr journey of the InternalBrace from its early conception, through all the clinical trials and research through to today as a technique used in tendon and ligament patients worldwide.

He also took part in a live surgery workshop focussing on ACL reconstruction with Dr Umer Butt and Dr Raid Abutalib.
