Welcome to the InternalBrace International Study Group

Officially launched at AAOS 2023, The InternalBrace Study Group is an independent research group that includes some of the finest consultants and specialists from around the world. Many have been advancing the use of the InternalBrace to enhance their patient's care and outcomes, while others have been involved in advancing specialist rehab protocols for InternalBrace patients or in advancing the clinical research side. We hope as a group, to further collaborate and continue to improve the outcome for patients and knowledge for surgeons around the world.

We answer your Questions about the InternalBrace International Study Group

The InternalBrace International Research Study Group is membership only group of surgeons (both human and veterinary), and rehabilitation experts.

The IBISG was founded by Professor Mackay in 2022. He invented the InternalBrace in 2010 with the help of Arthrex. It is a invitational membership group of InternalBrace experts.

Our members are experts both in human and veterinary side of orthopaedics, or are experts in the rehabilitation of patients who have undergone InternalBrace surgery.

Membership is by invitation only, however if you are a surgeon using the InternalBrace in your practice and are interested in getting involved you can contact us through our Contact page.

The aim of this group is to keep expanding our knowledge of the use of the InternalBrace in orthopaedics as we believe it offers patients better outcomes and benefits such as less painful and accelerated recoveries. Our research as a combined group now cover over a 10 years period includes thousands of patients and an ever-expanding amount of published research papers.
