Internal Brace research continues to bridge human and veterinary medicine

Professor Mackay was honored to be invited by the prestigious NoVOS board to present his latest research on the Internal Brace and its continuing advancement in veterinary orthopaedics. It is great to see the Internal Brace making significant strides in the treatment of animals as well.

Nature had other plans though and this time the meeting coincided with Storm Eowyn, which grounded most UK flights. Sadly Prof. Mackay had to deliver his presentations remotely, and while nothing quite matches the energy of being there in person, his virtual discussions were well-received, and, he hopes, continue to support man’s best friend.

During the meeting members of the Internal Brace International Study Group (IBISG) Antonio Pozzi and Prof. Dr. Peter Böttcher, had a chance to catch up.

It is with a fantastic sense of collaboration and innovation that Prof. Mackay and other human orthopaedic surgeons continue to collaborate with top orthopaedic veterinary surgeons – as exemplified by meetings such as these and our own IBISG meetings.
