Gracie Holmes: From ACL Rupture to Return to Football

This film follows Gracie Holmes as she returns to football following an ACL rupture, documenting her experience of ACL internal brace surgery and the rehabilitation journey that supported her recovery. Gracie has previously played in elite academies at Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, and was playing for Bristol Rovers at the time of her injury. She now represents Cyprus at international level.

The film also features contributions from the physiotherapy team at Hartpury University, who share their experience of supporting Gracie through ACL rehabilitation, monitoring key recovery markers, and guiding her return to sport.
