A family affair…

It seems 2014 is the year of famous sporting families for me. Fresh from getting Scotland netball star Gemma Sole, the daughter of rugby legend David Sole, back on the court in time for the Commonwealth Games, now another daughter of a famous father has made a quick recovering by choosing the Internal Brace to resolve a ruptured ACL. Megan Kennedy – the daughter of Euan Kennedy, whose four caps included a famous draw with the All Blacks and two wins in the 1984 Grand Slam-winning side – had her ACL reconstructed using an Internal Brace 18 months ago, and the results have been so successful that the 20-year-old Stirling County player has just been called up by Scotland. Not only that, but 20-year-old Megan, whose brother Reyner is County’s 1st XV hooker, is the youngest player by three years in the squad.
