Inspiring trustee visit to The Duncan Hospital, Bihar

Prof Mackay has been operating in a different theatre this week – as a trustee of our supported charity The Duncan Hospital Charitable Trust he has been in India on a visit to The Duncan Hospital in Bihar, catching up on the progress of some of the projects and staff sponsorships that the charity funds.

It is brilliant to see the biggest project – the new Nursing College Building rising high now above the campus (the old building flooded and was utterly unfit for purpose anymore) and also to meet DHCT sponsored nurses. This time Prof Mackay was accompanied by our favourite filmmaker Martyn Robertson of Urbancroft Films who went along to document the work at this amazing hospital, its incredible staff, and some of its outreach teams at work.

We have lots more videos and photos that we look forward to sharing with you, but the photos below give you a flavour of this visit.

If you would like to donate to the current DHCT fundraiser to sponsor a nurse in training you can do that here

*Please note that neither trustee visits nor accompanying guests like Martyn are EVER paid for out of charity funds. 100% of all donations to DHCT always go directly to The Duncan.
